How Do You Deal With Evil?

How do you deal with people who go out of their way to hurt and inflict pain?

And who hurt the people you love?

Do you ignore them?

Strike back?

Turn the other cheek?

I know.  I know.

I've been preaching forgiveness no matter what, but . . .

This hurts.

I know what I should do, but I just want to pounce.

Then

Ask for forgiveness later.

Maybe.

Why is it so easy to give advice, and yet so hard to follow it yourself?
